My family lived in Newfoundland in 1964 and when we returned to the
states people asked us how we survived the earthquake. We asked "What
earthquake?" They were talking about the one in Alaska that year.

John, you're so right. We see the same phenomenon in
Connecticut. It's not just the Weather Channel folks, either, who
don't seem to realize that there's an actual state between New York
and Massachusetts. "Along the New York - Boston corridor..." Hey,
wait - there's a state there, with 3.5 million people (most of whom
are on I-95 at the same time in the mornings).
