Happy Thursday evening:
We are in the process of designing our new building and the architects are very concerned about the emergency exit door in the children's area. It leads out to an enclosed outdoor area that will be used for programming. However, we don't want this area to be accessible at all times and would like it to be under staff control. I'm wondering how other libraries deal with emergency exits in children's areas that have panic bars. Are kids constantly setting them off or have you devised workable solutions? TIA!
