A good source for identifying such things is the California Learning Resources Network, (www.clrn.org). CLRN is funded by the California State Dept of Education. It's aimed at the schools, and it lists all sorts of electronic sources, including vendor information. The nice thing is that you can search by type of resource, and by age group or grade level. It's also aligned with Calif. state curriculums, so that if you're trying to get an educational game, it will tell you what the game is good for.
I often use it in the same way as Librarian's Index to the Internet because it also lists free websites on school-related topics.
