I typed this question up this morning with one hand. The other hand was scratching a cat. Did I mention I was still in bed and the tv was on? I realized after sending it that I should have given more information.
The position that needs to be filled is for a one person library (plus many volunteers) with a terribly low salary (but the retirement package is unbelievably good and so is the health insurance), who has to do everything but the budget, cataloging and major maintenance. The library only has a $55,000 budget. More can be found here: http://lcldinfo.wikispaces.com/Siletz+Library+Manager .
Really, I have many possible questions but none of them are hitting the right chord with me today. So, of course, I turned to you.

I don't seem to have a good interview question that might help demonstrate a candidates ability to think through the issues involved with a problem and develop possible solutions. Any suggestions?
