  I have several old card catalogs from the Library of Congress.  We cut one down and made one into a stand for the microwave oven (with a butcher block top) and kept canned goods in the drawers.  My daughter has that one now.

  The biggest one is in the workshop.  My husband stores files, plumbing parts, electrical parts, nails, etc. in the drawers.

  These catalogs are not made of beautiful woods.
