[Publib] Library Card & Keytags

Our library is looking into using library keytags/keycards as a 2nd choice
to the regular library card.  Has anyone else already started using them?
If so, do you use the combo (card & keytag have the same barcode) or do
the patrons get only one (either the card or the keytag; not both)?  What
was the staff and patron response to them?  Did you have to make any
policy and/or procedure changes?  How much usage do they get at your
library or do your patrons still prefer the cards?  How do you handle
computer sign-ups (we have them leave their library card or photo id at
the desk)?  What's the wear and tear on them been like?  Could you also
respond with the size of your library?
