[Publib] Free DVD

One way of subtracting one from the "millions" is to write or call and request that your library be taken off their mailing list. I did this last year and haven't received another batch.

This is one of the marketing tips and tricks brought to you by L. Ron Hubbard and the rest: members of the Church buy multiple copies of the whatever (books, DVDs, CDs, etc.) and then "donate" them to libraries. At every library I have ever worked for a box or two with multiple copies of the SF books would appear in our donation bin at least once a year. This helps keep the material in print and brings "truth" to the statement about "millions" sold worldwide. I learned this back in my days selling books.

The opinions are my own; the library wouldn't want 'em!

Oooh, oooh! Two of them came to ZBPL -- funny thing, the package was addressed to a trustee who hasn't been on the board for more than 10 years.

There are many ideas for crafty projects using CDs/DVDs. This one includes "alien space ships" which many be appropriate to the DVDs that inspired this post.

I'd love one, but only if it can be taped to the tire of the truck that delivers it.

:-)

With apologies to Tom Cruise,
