Reference questions are becoming so rare at my branch, I'm beginning to
worry that I'm frightening the patrons:

Patron:"Hello, may I ask you a question?"
Me:"Question!? A question!? By all means ask away. Do you need to know the
capital of Montana? Nebraska? The value of pi? Do you need to write your
senator?"
Patron (shuffling from foot to foot):"No thanks, I only wanted to know
where-"
"Jimmy Hoffa is buried? I don't know off the top of my head, but I'm certain
I could find him, with an almanac and a little time...."
Patron (dancing now): "No, I just want to know where I can find--"
"Primary sources for research on the Civil War! I know just the thing, give
me a moment--"
Patron runs off to find a tree.
