Banned Books Week: Action Guide, Suggested Activities
http://www.ala.org/ala/oif/bannedbooksweek/actionguide/actionguide.htm

This list contains many wonderful ideas on how to celebrate our freedom
to read, including a brand-new addition, inspired by ALA Executive Board
member June Pinnell-Stephens. She and her husband are sponsoring a
day's programming on their public radio station, so this message will go
out to most of Alaska: "Today's programming on KUAC is made possible in
part by June Pinnell-Stephens and Dennis Stephens, who are celebrating
this 25th annual Banned Books Week, Sept. 23-30, by re-reading
Huckleberry Finn and Fahrenheit 451."

DEDICATE part of one day's programming on your National Public Radio
(NPR) station to Banned Books Week. For example, "Today's programming
on [the name of the radio station] is made possible in part by [your
name], who is celebrating this Banned Books Week by re-reading I Know
Why the Caged Bird Sings [or another favorite banned or challenged book]
or by accomplishing some other activity related to the week.
