Beginning in October, Library Journal will unveil substantial changes in its
computer book coverage. On Oct. 2, Computer Book Prepub Alert will make its
debut on our website (www.libraryjournal.com <http://www.libraryjournal.com>
). Modeled after Barbara Hoffert's popular Prepub Alert column, Computer
Book Prepub Alert replaces the "Fall/Winter Computer Books Preview" that
appeared in the magazine, featuring bibliographic information and
descriptions for hot upcoming releases. Initially, this column will appear
four times a year: October 2, January 1, April 1, and July 1. Rachel Singer
Gordon, LJ's NextGen and Computer Media columnist, will oversee.
Speaking of Computer Media, that long-running print column will migrate to
the web on Oct. 16. Rachel Singer Gordon will continue to write it once a
month, and it will appear in the middle of the month.
Feel free to spread the word about these exciting (and hopefully beneficial)
ventures.
