[Publib] Best Library MA program?

Hi:
I have a very successful career owning my own business in new media  
marketing and am a very busy mother as well right now. I have an MA  
in education and a BA in Psychology from UC Berkeley.

However, my dream has always been to one day be a reference  
librarian--like the people at the NYPL who get calls from all over  
the world and need to answer the question within 5 minutes. I do not  
envision being able to fill that role for the next 10 years, however  
I would like to be prepared for it.

I was thinking that perhaps I could do an online MA over the next few  
years so that I would at least have the credentials (if not the exact  
experience) to apply for my desired job in the future.

Can you advise first of all if this seems like a good idea (v.  
waiting and then going back to an on-campus school) and if so, what  
are the most highly respected programs that also offer distance options?
