Hello,

We have been doing this for several years. Our schedule indicated the primary reference person (the person actually at the desk) and the on call reference person. Currently, the work desk and the public desk are on the same floor. This makes it very easy for the primary reference person to stick her head in the office and yell for help. In our new building, however, the public desk and the work desk will be on different floors. Our current plan is to use a set of walky talkies. Each pair scheduled will have one of the set. The primary reference person will be able to simply click the button and call for help. We have tested this and it seems to work.
