[Publib] Bookstore and Library: A good pair?

Friends: 

The university I work in (Universidad Nacional de San Marcos) is planning to install a small stand for selling its publications in the precincts of  the library where I work in. Biblioteca España de las Artes is library situated in Centro Cultural de San Marcos, a cultural center that operates in a XVIII century building in downtown Lima.

My question is.

How can we profit creatively as library with a bookstore by our reference desk. 

By the way, the reading area is in in another room.
