I recently learned about the Washington Monthly College Guide. In its
second year, it is billed as an alternative to the US News and World Rept.
college rankings. It is based on factors such as public service, graduation
rates, and support for lower income students.

Does anyone know of a book or an online resource that ranks colleges/majors?
I know of a couple of resources that will identify all of the colleges in a
geographic area that offer a particular major. What I NEED is a source that
says of those colleges, "the education programs at X, Y & Z Universities are
known to be outstanding". Thanks in advance!

Katie
