Beth,
Rather than scanning, try using a free pdf converter like PrimoPDF (you can
google it easily). Assuming you create your newsletter on a computer and don't
hand-assemble it through cutting and pasting or something of that sort, you can
do this easily. PrimoPDF creates a new "printer" on your computer that you can
select from the print dialog box like any other printer on your system, only
instead of creating a paper copy it will turn your document into a pdf. And the
size of the pdf is quite reasonable as well, which should solve your other
problem. Very easy to install and use.
