That's interesting.  DVD players have been less
expensive than VCRs for quite some time. DVDs are also
less expensive to manufacture than VHS tapes.

I saw a DVD player at Target recently for $29.  How
times have changed!  I remember when the cheapest DVD
player was a $300 Toshiba.
