We are also considering this option. A quick search for DVD dispensers or DVD vending machines turned up some sources including: http://www.integratedtek.com/flash/discxpress.asp

Please share what you find out. Thanks!

Subject: [Publib] Automatic CD/DVD Storage/Dispenser unit

Due to a rash of thefts we are considering new security measures for parts of our music CD and DVD collections. Currently we have no security on CDs and use DVD cases with plastic strip that makes opening them difficult. The Andover P.L. in Kansas was kind enough to share a solution - an automatic storage/dispenser called the DC 300 that stores 150 disks. Units can be stacked. In this scenario the user brings the empty case to the service desk. The unique number on the case is scanned or entered into the storage unit and the disk pops out. Has anyone discovered a similar product that holds more discs or a different product that accomplished the same thing? Several Internet searches have not produced an alternative. Before we take the plunge I thought would check publib.
