[Publib] A/V circ benchmarks

My library is thinking about adding some kind automated cleaning and weeding schedule based on how many circs a CD or DVD has had.  An example would be a DVD, after 50 circs, is automatically flagged at check in and sent in for cleaning and after 100 circs is flagged and discarded.  This is just an example off the top of my head.  I was also thinking that I may need different numbers for children vs. adult materials.  I would imagine cleaning would happen much faster for children's DVDs.

Is anyone doing this?  Tried this?     What to do, what not to do -- both greatly appreciated!
