Miranda,

I also urge you to join the FictionL readers' advisory listserv, it is truly
invaluable, but be prepared for a lot of email.

Also, I put together a readers' advisory training manual that you may find
helpful. It includes things like an overview of RA, the RA interview, lists
of online and printed resources, the ten-minute-read speed reading process
for RA, info on how to use reviews, how to read a book with RA in mind, some
read-alike lists to get you started, and more. I posted it on my website
since most of these lists don't allow attachments. You can find it here:

If I can help you with any specific questions, please let me know. Best of
luck - and have fun!

I am fairly new to my position (started mid-February this year) part of
which is supposed to be Reader's Advisory services. Unfortunatly, it is one
part of my job that I have neglected because I am lacking knowledge in that
area. Can anyone share any resources, samples, etc that might be helpful in
learning Reader's Advisory services?
Thanks so much!
