Today I found out some news from my insurance  agent:  She informed me that, 
because I was the holder of a degree in  Library and Information Science, I 
would receive a ten percent discount on my  combined insurance policies with 
Farmer’s Insurance.  For me, that’s over seven hundred  dollars of savings per 
year.   
Apparently the company offers the same rate savings for a variety of  
professions*my agent told me that I was the first librarian she had applied the  
discount to.  I would be interested  in hearing if any other companies offer the 
same terms to librarians or library  workers.  Please reply if this is so.
