The library where I work is Biblioteca España de las Artes. This library is
situated
in Centro Cultural de San Marcos, Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.
This cultural center operates in a XVIII century building in downtown Lima.
In this cultural center we also have and art museum, a ballet school, a
peruvian folkloric dances school, a theater school, a band school, among
other institutions.
My question is: The Centro Cultural, through the different institutions I
have mentioned, has programed for every sunday up to december a series of
artistic activities, under the name of ABREPUERTAS (Open Doors).
Our library is not yet open to the public, since we are just finishing the
inventory (it was closed for 4 years) and planning the management of the
services. Nevetheless I want to include some kind of activity of the library
in this ABREPUERTAS.
I was thinking of stationing the book truck we have with books that can be
read in the reading area of the library. Perhaps you can enlighten me to
some more activities that can be donealso that will not include all the
booksof the
library. The fact is that we still do not have a PC with the automated
catalog for the public.
Thanks for any help
