[Publib] What does a librarian drive

Wow, everyone drives cars from this century! Not me! Mine are all from
the 1900's (the very late 1900's, of course!).

One major accomplishment was that I did finally convince my husband to
get rid of our 1978 pickup with the rusted floorboards. Seeing the
road down by my feet as we drove on the interstate was getting to be an
unnerving experience.

Subject: [Publib] What does a librarian drive

If you check out our staff parking lot most days you'll see a half-dozen
Honda CR-Vs. I drive a red '03. Useful for hauling stuff, good for
car-camping (for two, anyway), comfortable, great around-town car too.
Could get better gas mileage, but I'm comparing it to my son's '02 Chevy
Prizm, which probably isn't fair. I'd have to call myself a car
enthusiast, but the cars I love (and love to read about) are useful,
efficient, comfortable, reliable. I feel a deep, abiding love for a car
that starts every morning, runs smoothly, handles well, RARELY (not fair
to say "never") breaks, and lasts for 100,000+ miles. Now THAT'S a
classic car!
Best,
