  I thought the letter was a hoot and trying to scare me about job security isn't going to work either. I love what I do but the letter-writer has succinctly described some of the realities of life in libraryland with the challenges and horrors compressed into a slice of life I can relate to. 
  Everything described in the missive is an experience I’ve personally experienced. What is not described is the joy in the job I’ve always been able to find. The unpleasant situations are rare but they do exist.
