[Publib] Medical reference continuing education for public librarians

On Friday, December 8, 2006, the Consumer Health Information Center at
Central Park Campus Library (Collin County Community College) is
co-sponsoring with McKinney Memorial Public Library two continuing education
classes for librarians. Both classes will be taught by Karen Vargas,
consumer health coordinator of the South Central Regional Medical Library of
the National Library of Medicine:

 <http://nnlm.gov/training/supersearcher/> Super Searcher (8 :00 A.M.. -
noon )  focuses on the advanced search features of web search engines and
the cutting edge of searching. 
 <http://nnlm.gov/training/nocomprende/index.html> No Comprende?  (1 :00
P.M. -5 :00 P.M.)  highlights Spanish  language health  information
resources for English - speaking  librarians .

Each class has 4 hours of CE credit given by the Medical Library
Association.

For those attending both classes, a boxed lunch may be purchased for a  fee
of $5.00.

The classes will be held at the Central Park Campus Library, 2200 W.
University Dr., McKinney, TX.  There is no registration cost for the
classes; however, registration is limited. To register for one or both
