[Publib] DVDs as Magazine Archives

Have any public libraries purchased DVDs with back issues of magazines?  My library has been asked by a patron for older issues of Fine Woodworking and Fine Homebuilding.  The publisher sells them on a DVD.  If we did purchase the DVDs, the question then would be whether we would keep it in reference and print out copies of articles for patrons or we could circulate it, but where would we shelve it (with books on CD, with non-fiction video DVDs?).   We are wondering if any other libraries have such DVDs.
