Children’s Librarian: The Kaukauna Public Library has an open position
for a full-time Children’s Librarian who is innovative, energetic,
service-oriented and experienced to lead the Children’s Department.
The Childrens’ Librarian’s responsibilities include, but are not limited
to, planning and implementing programs for pre-school children to teens,
materials selection, reference and reader’s advisory and supervision of
the children’s department staff.
The IDEAL CANDIDATE will have a MLS from an ALA-accredited program with
children’s coursework.  Experience working with children as well as
knowledge of children’s literature, storytelling techniques and trends
in children’s and teenage programming is required.  Must be able to
provide excellent customer service, work independently, and communicate
effectively with patrons and staff.  Excellent computer skills are desired.
