[Publib] answering reference questions without MLS

Yes, we do. We call it working in a one-person staffed rural library branch
where the one-person is reference, circulation, janitor and plumber (and
anything else that comes up)..

We have MLS librarians who provide back-up assistance and we do as much
training as time and dollars allow.

include answering reference questions, but do not require an MLS?  If you
do, what do you call this position and what other responsibilities do these
