I've belonged to Opera-L, the opera list, for about as
long as I have been afflicting all of you on Publib.
One of the Opera-L regulars shared her experience
of googling an especially obscure topic, and getting
hits only on stuff in Wikipedia that she herself had
written!
When you seek something with a search engine
and end up finding only your own stuff, what should
this be called? Googlelooping? (Yikes! I'm stuck
in a Googleloop!)
Worse yet, I suppose, would be searching for
and using info from Wikipedia and not realizing
it is your own stuff.
A senior reference moment??
We do try to avoid self-referential informatics
in our trade . . .
