"Building Skills for Staff Organization Leadership"

Improve morale at your library...HOW you are wondering????: You can get ideas to take back to use at your library by attending this workshop. The FREE workshop with a complimentary lunch is sponsored by ALA's SORT (Staff Organizations Round Table) founded in 1937. SORT helps library staff organizations improve their leadership skills.
Areas to be addressed include the following:
1. Staff organization leadership
2. Volunteer management
3. Motivation issues
4. Improving communication
5. Membership recruitment
6. Fundraising skills
Twenty attendees will be selected to attend this wonderful meal and workshop...so, come on now and apply.
Here are the things that need to be addressed in your application as follows:
1. Library staff organization
a. name
b. location
c. number of members
d. dues
e. activities
2. One reason you want to attend the workshop.
3. One issue you want to be covered in the workshop.
4. One success story about your staff organization.
5. Your name and role in your staff organization.
HINT: Providing all the necessary information ABOVE in a "short paragraph" increases your ODDS of being one of the twenty selected for the workshop.
