I've also noticed that with some fonts the print is actually lighter on the
page and therefore harder to read.  I couldn't find any publisher that
offers that information, but I did have a very savvy patron - a mystery
reader - inform me that Putnam books use very small and light print
rendering them unreadable to her, while she has no trouble with the Hachette
group (formerly Time Warner) imprints.
