Do any of your public libraries maintain staff positions (part-time or
full time) dedicated to the collection, promotion and display of local
history materials (photos, diaries, manuscripts, maps, memorabilia,
etc.)?   If so, has the program been popular?  Have you been able to
mobilize volunteers and obtain financial support?

 

If any of you have maintained local history programs, facilities,
sections and/or staff positions, have there been any difficulties or
downsides?
