[Publib] Bookmobile alternatives

Maybe someone else will remember more details, but there was a discussion similar to this not too long ago that involved setting up small pick-up and drop-off locations at stores in different parts of town. I don't know if that would work for your situation, but if anyone else remembers...it might be searchable in the archives by rural or remote libraries or something...

Subject: [Publib] Bookmobile alternatives

Publibbers,

Do any of you have any suggestions about alternatives to using bookmobiles in rural areas? A library I work with has a bookmobile on it's last legs and replacement costs are enormous. Any ideas of how to reach the rural communities without using a bookmobile?

Thanks.
