I'm in the middle of creating disaster and emergency plan and have found the book "Disaster Planning" : A How-To-Do-It Manual for Librarians with Planning Templates on CD-ROM very helpful. Written by Deborah D. Halsted, Richard P. Jasper, and Felicia M. Little. It's a Neal-Schumen Book (How to do it manual #129) and was published last fall. It is written from an academic library point of view, but it easily translates.

 Hi,

I work in a branch of an urban public library system, and we have been given
the task to write a disaster/emergency plan for our branch for things such
as fires, tornadoes, threatening patrons, etc. Does anyone have any tips or
suggestions on what to include or have a plan they would be willing to
share?

Thanks in advance,

Carlie
