Greetings-- 
The Old Bridge Public Library seeks a librarian  with initiative, energy and 
a commitment to quality service to join our team as  Head of the Electronic 
Resources Department. 
The successful candidate will have direct experience with computers and  
their maintenance; networks; technology; and web page development. Will be a  
visionary who likes a challenge; exhibits creative thinking that demonstrates an  “
out of the box” attitude; a sense of humor with a welcoming and empathetic  
attitude. Is eager to learn more and explore future developments. We are 
looking  for someone who says “go for it!” 
Effective interaction with staff and customers; excellent oral and  written 
communication skills. The successful candidate will have a broad  background 
and experience that enables an understanding of the needs of  different 
departments and possibilities from different perspectives. Excellent  organizational 
skills.  
Some customer service experience at a library is required. Supervisory  
experience of professional and technical staff is preferred. Minimum five years  
experience as a professional librarian. An ALA-accredited MLS and eligibility  
for NJ Public Librarian Certification required. Thirty-five hour work week  
includes nights and weekends. Salary is $51,374 with a generous benefits  
package. 
The Old Bridge Library is located in suburban central New Jersey; and we 
serve  a large and growing community from a central facility with a small branch.
