[Publib] Keeping people off the WWW on opacs

There's a no-cost -- but fiddly -- solution in
Internet Options. On the Connections tab, click the
LAN Settings button, then check Proxy Server and click
the Advanced button. Enter the URL of your OPAC in
the exceptions box. Users will not be able to access
any site that is not in your OPAC's domain. For
example, if your OPAC's URL is
http://www.library.org/OPAC, then only addresses
beginning with that string are accessible, so
http://www.library.org/OPAC/searchresults and so on
will work, but www.google.com will not.
I told you it was fiddly. Get Public Web Browser
anyway, it's well worth the money.
