Design in Science Classes Is Not a Free Speech Issue"; Cosponsored by
the ALA Intellectual Freedom Committee, the Association of American
Publishers Freedom to Read Committee, and the American Booksellers
Foundation for Free Expression; Monday, June 26, 1:30-3:30 p.m., Morial
Convention Center, Rm. 294.

Rev. Barry Lynn, executive director of Americans United for Separation
of Church and State, and Professor Michael Ruse will explore why
preventing the teaching of intelligent design in science classes is not
a free speech issue. They also will discuss how intelligent design
proponents are pressing their agenda at school boards and how to stand
up for teaching science in science classes.
