How else might you catch mistrakes? <g>

IMNSHO, checking for errors may save a lot of grief down the line. One typo in a filing element can cause a record to be "lost."

In our home-grown catalog/circ system, there are any number of odd records resulting from input errors. Even putting an extra space between subfields can lead to the computer's "misfiling" of the record.
