That tells me that the town or city may be short on funds and may be cheap
on other things - I would not want to work for a town or city that makes me
pay to work there in any way.
The more people that accept paying for background checks the more employers
will require it. Pretty soon other charges will be added .. I think ALA and
members should protest this.
