We outlined this in our circulation policy at my previous library, Live
Oak Public Libraries, Savannah Georgia

You can locate a text of it in the Circulation Policy (pdf file) with
link given below, page 4.

All,

I am struggling with wording for policy and procedure that outline the
Patron's liability when items checked out to them are stolen or
destroyed by fire or disaster.

Do you require them to pay anyway?

Do you require copies of police reports, etc.?

What else should I consider?

Thanks in advance for your input.
