[Publib] Pre-Employment Screening

Everyone--

I am searching your collective wisdom and experience.  Is anyone using some
specific pre-employment screening processes that lead you to more
effectively assess candidates public service abilities, technical skills or
aptitudes, and dependability exclusive of checking resumes for obvious
alerts and posing probing questions during the interview process and through
reference checks.  TCPL has had some surprising turnover in the entry level
ranks especially, and we are exploring options to improve our process.

I will of course be pleased to consolidate comments and post to the list.
