Even size isn't as big a factor as you might think. We are using Dell's
Ultra small form factor in a space where the counter was not wide enough
for a regular setup. The PC fits behind the 17 in flat screen, with easy
access to USBs and either a CD/DVD or floppy drive. basically, there isa
the screen and keyboard/mouse. Not a lot of expandability, but we rarely
expand anything except memory on public PCs anyway. Love the 17 inch
screen instead of the small laptops.

We didn't wi-fi these, though we could have, because a wired connection was
faster and more secure. I don't have photos yet, since we haven't updated
our website tour since we added these.

As with most library services, the more you can make it effortless for the
patron, the better. Our wired stations are mainly self-service, but laptops
would involve staff time that we would rather spend on other services.
