Many of the cases on CSI are based on real-life cases also, which have
been reported on other true crime shows such as Investigative Reports
and Cold Case Files. Although CSI makes no disclaimer about their
episode being based on a real-life case (at least none that I have
noticed), it was quite easy to recognize the crime involved because they
followed the events almost exactly as they occurred in reality.
