[Publib] Animal cruelty

I have my own issues with PETA, like the stupidity of suggesting college
students drink beer instead of milk.

But do you honestly think that sled dogs are choosing to run the
"Idiotarod"? You compare human athletes, who have choice, to animals that
are forced to participate in a race that serves no purpose to the animals
whatsoever. (I feel the same way about horse races, but they generally
aren't so destructive of the animal.) That's a scary thing coming from
someone with your apparent education.

Just because information comes from PETA doesn't make it invalid. You also
imply that PETA is against sterilizing animals, which of course is not true
from what I've read.
