Nampa Public Library has 2 FT openings for a Library Associate I. 40 hr/wk
at $10.86 hr with excellent benefits. Hours vary, may include eves & Sat.



1) Public Services - provides accurate information to patrons of all ages,
plans and presents programs for youth, and assists in collection
development. 

 

2) Checkout Desk - Registers new library users, checks library materials in
and out, and resolves problems.  Bachelor's degree preferred; recent public
library and/or customer service experience highly desirable. Spanish
Bilingual a plus. 

 

TESTING:  Applicants are asked to take a Job Service typing test, and
candidates who score at least 45 wpm with 90% accuracy or above will be
preferred. Candidates will be selected for in-house testing which will
include an online reference resource test, alpha/numeric filing test, a data
entry test, and a catalog search test. Scores on these tests will be used to
help select candidates for an interview. Applicants selected for an
interview will be asked to prepare a 10 minute presentation as part of the
interview. A Spanish bilingual fluency test will be administered if
necessary.

411 3rd St. So., Nampa, Idaho 83651, until 5:00 p.m., July 25, 2006 Submit
