librarians don't think books, music, and movie influence people, especially

kids, continues to baffle me. Why are we in this business?

 

We are in this business to provide free access to information. 

 

>From the ALA Library Bill of Rights:

 

"V. A person's right to use a library should not be denied or abridged
because of origin, age, background, or views."

 

I think disallowing access to materials based on age could be considered to
"abridge" that patron's access to the library.
