Hi all - has anyone on the list tried to promote databases by using a visual monitor display....in other words, running a brief video about using a specific database on a monitor?

We are considering promoting a database like Novelist by creating a non-interactive display highlighting the database features. This will be a standalone "station" that is not connected to the Internet.

If you've done this we are interested in know about the following:
Did you create your own presentation or use a vendor presentation?
If you created your own what type of software did you use?
What type of equipment did you use to show the "video" - DVD with flat panel TV monitor or PC with DVD player and monitor?
How big was your monitor?
Did your video loop continuously or was it dependent on the user starting it?
How successful was it? Anything in particular to be aware of before we venture down this path?

Thanks so much for sharing! Glenna
