[Publib] permission to report/forward postings

Sigh. Okay. I know I'm whining.

But do you (individually) really want to hear from me every time I want to
forward a discussion from the list to one or three of my staff members? It
does seem to impede the sharing of valuable information, especially if the
archive is available to anyone wishing to search. And I know I could make my
staff search the archive for the discussion on a given date that I give
them.

But for me, I can keep them aware of discussions, or just really GREAT ideas
we can STEAL (um, borrow!, yeah, BORROW)--without using up the time of
several of us all of whom are monitoring the same list-by forwarding
messages or groups of messages (I get PUBLIB in digest form, and thank you
for keeping that option available to me!)

I understand the issues. I'm a Southerner so was raised with a healthy
respect and inclination to follow the etiquette. I will respect the
consensus to get permission before I forward. But I can tell you that 95% of
what I would like to forward to my staff will simply stop with me because I
don't have time to do the right thing.

End of whine.

Pax, Kelly
