[Publib] Headphones - late entry

For those who find headphones potentially gross, icky, disgusting, etc....have you checked the earpiece part of your telephone recently, at home or at work? Sometimes I am *amazed* at how much detritus I leave behind--and I *bathe* regularly (though I do not clean my ears with the same vigor that my mother did when I was a wee person...God, how I hated the sight of her coming at me with a washcloth and/or Q-tips).

While we can't be all things to all people, nor can we afford to offer every last teeny, tiny new bit of technological whatever, if we're going to have computers with programs or sites that require sound--and they have multiplied since the early days of the World Wide Web, et al.--then saying to people, "Yes, you may use our computers but no, we aren't providing something that, for better or for worse, is necessary for proper access/use to whatever it is you're looking at/for," is not very good custopatronomer service.

One humanoid's opinion. I am the Alpha...but not the Omega (see name of library, below)...so maybe you all should only half listen to me. :)
