A previous poster wrote in a thread dealing with headphones, "I do not feel that the library
should provide them. Do we provide reading glasses for those who can't read without them?"
Actually, we do have several pairs of reading glasses that people can use in the library. "Old
eyes" often visit the library without all their equipment!
In our town´s new CVS drug stores, there are sheets of magnifying plastic attached to the
shelves in the areas of small print on packages. The store has good over the shelf location
signs. They have a shelf of popular paperback fiction, also a display of medical books (a
dozen "for dummies titles among them) strategically placed in the area where you wait to pick
up prescriptions. We can all learn so much from each other!
