>---You can combine Wifi/wireless access with checkout availability
>of laptops set for your wireless connection. All your seats, all
>your tables, etc. can become Internet access stations.

---Some patrons may not be aware that they can also access free
wireless at a cafe in town.
>Local Kinkos/Staples/Office Max usually have for-fee stations.

Some of the motels in our town have wireless, but you have to
register to stay at the motel to use it. Also, some fast food
restaurants are putting it in. What do we need to drive around town
and find these hotspots? I'd like to post a list on the front door/window.

---The only partial solution we came up with was to reserve half of
the computers for those
>over the age of 16. (We did this from 3-6pm when we were hit by
>junior high kids).

We do it the other way around. Out of the four Gates computers, two
are for adults, one for children at all times, and the fourth is for
adults or children during the school day, but only for children when
school is out.

The only other two computers are in Ref. and can't be used by anyone
under 13, unless accompanied by an adult.

The gamers, who would like to stay on as long as the library is open,
aren't happy, but most everyone else is.
